Top Advertisers Turning to Mobile Video

Posted May 12, 2015

While it’s already known that the top grossing publishers rely on mobile video advertising, a recent Business Insider study revealed a similar proclivity among leading agencies.

In the report, 120 US advertising agencies were asked which ad category they expected to see the largest overall increase in digital spending in 2015. Mobile video was the clear favorite, with 60% of agencies expecting to increase their spend in the format this year.

The study went on to project that “mobile video ad revenue will grow more than 3x faster than desktop video ads through 2020,’ becoming a $6.5 billion business. Granted, desktop video is still expected to grow, with Business Insider projecting that desktop video will account for 41% of desktop display spending by 2020.
