Highlights from Casual Connect Tel Aviv

Posted Nov 11, 2016

Last week, our EMEA team traveled to Tel Aviv, Israel for the final 2016 Casual Connect event. The team had an eventful few days, meeting potential new clients, spending time building relationships with old friends and attending the insightful panels on the current trends in the industry.

It was great to visit our friends from Plarium, Murka, Playrix, GoodGame, Huuuge Games, TabTale and Jelly Button during the event, as well as the countless other new partners and developers.

Our table was in the perfect place to see the hustle and bustle of the event while informing everyone interested about AdColony. The team made sure as many attendees as possible walked away with at least one of our always-popular AdColony souvenirs!

During the event, Fernando Pernica, our Senior Manager for Monetisation and Publisher Growth in EMEA spoke as part of the panel “What’s Inside the Advertisers Black Box?”

Aside from our own Fernando, the panel brought together Yaniv Nizan, CEO & Co-Founder at SOOMLA, Guy Tomer, Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, at TabTale, Niko Vuori, Co-Founder & COO of Rocket Games, and Noam Neuman, VP Mobile Strategy for Matomy Media Group. Lior Shiff, Founder of Games Growth Partners moderated the panel, driving lively discussion on a wealth of topics.

The session covered everything from how publishers track things like opt-in ratio, eCPM decay and ad LTV; to user segmentation and what ad whales are. The session even delved into the cannibalization of IAP revenue and placing competitor ads.

The team also made sure to engage with the community during CC Tel Aviv’s many happy hours, parties, and lunches. The team was particularly happy with the Facebook-sponsored party, and the opportunities to catch up with our partners at Remerge and AppsFlyer (aside from Paul’s bobble-headed doppelgänger of course!).

Like all Casual Connect events, the team connected with a local and international mobile developer community – something our employees around the world love doing and take every opportunity to do. Tel Aviv presents a special opportunity for AdColony to connect with one of the most talented and robust developer communities, and continues to grow by leaps and bounds year over year.

In the words of the team, it’s also an excellent opportunity to eat plenty of delicious Israeli cuisine!

As the event came to a close, it became clear that Casual Connect Tel Aviv 2016 was another great success and our EMEA team is already looking forward to returning next year!
