As mobile is the fastest growing segment in advertising, Chelsea Larson-Andrews of the Application Developers Alliance sat down with Bryan Buskas, our SVP of Performance Advertising, to discuss how brands can make the most of in-app marketing.
In the interview, Bryan discusses how some top brands – such as Taco Bell, Walmart, and Amazon – are using mobile video advertising campaigns to promote their apps, the challenges they face, and how it compares to the strategies used by mobile game developers. He also goes on to discuss how mobile video advertising works in a feed based environment, the importance of Instant-Play™ technology in this format, and how this is affecting creative.
Advertising and the Seamless Experience
As advertising is evermore becoming part of content, Mike Schwartz of the Application Developers Alliance sat down with Matt Barash, our VP of Business Development for Premium Publishing, to discuss alternative monetization strategies.
In the interview, Matt discusses how many traditional media companies are watching their “audiences cross the chasm and move from display and desktop,” and are overwhelmingly “shifting to mobile,” necessitating a fundamental shift in where these media companies have been “betting the house on” with their real-time bidding campaigns.
As advertising shifts to mobile, Mike discusses how some formats, such as banner ads, have stagnated, whereas video continues to grow as “high value real estate,” on mobile.
Of course, a seamless user experience is critical for this growth, and so Matt discusses the importance of engagement and improving upon the experience via dynamic end cards, in-feed video, value exchange video, and other innovations.
