Version 2.6 of the AdColony SDK is now available for mobile app publishers. In addition to providing full iOS 9 compatibility and heightened security, the update also features performance optimizations designed to increase ad fill ― and thus revenue ― for early session impressions.
While the update is only mandatory for apps compiled against iOS 9, all publishers are encouraged to integrate quickly to take advantage of the performance optimizations designed to improve early session revenue.
Upgrading to 2.6
The AdColony 2.6 SDK is a quick drag & drop update available via the AdColony GitHub. For additional assistance, the AdColony SDK Wiki provides answers to common inquiries, such as high level update recommendations and Xcode project setup.
ATS Settings
To aid publisher compliance with App Transport Security (ATS) in iOS 9, AdColony is facilitating the transition for each third party attribution and tracking partner. In the interim, apps built against iOS 9 must disable ATS to allow video ads to run. The AdColony SDK Wiki contains explicit instructions on how developers can disable ATS for the AdColony SDK, while still using it elsewhere in their app.
Questions?
Publishers who have questions about the SDK update or ATS compliance are encouraged to reach out to their account manager or the AdColony Support Team.
