Spotify Launches Video
Yet another indicator that mobile video consumption is on the rise, music streaming service Spotify is launching its video product this week. While videos will start appearing this week for Android users, video is slated to roll out on iOS next week. For now, the video service will only be available on mobile clients.
Mobile Growing Fastest in Expanding Games Market
According to recent data released by Digi-Capital, the games industry is expected to grow 22% in the next 4 years, reaching $115 billion a year in software sales by 2020. Within this, mobile games are expected to grow even faster with a 37% growth rate through 2020. This accelerated growth will increase mobile’s market share to 42% of total game software revenue.
Creature Quest Rolling Out
Fans of the Might & Magic IP may have reason to rejoice: Van Caneghem founded VC Mobile Entertainment is now releasing Creature Quest in select markets. Described as where “RPG meet strategy in a quest for creatures,” the title is apt to keep players hooked with over 500 collectable creatures, untold treasure, and daily events.
