Highlights from ChinaJoy 2016

Posted Aug 18, 2016

A few weeks ago, our APAC team packed their bags and met in Shanghai for ChinaJoy 2016. They joined over 300,000 attendees in the halls of the Shanghai New International Expo Center to participate in one of the world’s most influential events in the digital interactive entertainment industry. This year there was a heavy focus on VR and AR, with tons of cool exhibitors to check out.

The Booth

Our team didn’t show up as spectators, though — we were ready to work! We spent most of our time at our booth in our prime location on the expo floor, catching people’s attention and talking to them about the latest innovations in mobile advertising & monetization.

The Interview

Aaron Chan, our Director of Publisher Development in Asia, even took his work duties to a whole new level. During the conference, he took some time to sit down with reporters at Gametoc, a Korean website that focuses on all things gaming, to talk about AdColony in the APAC market.

He went over everything from AdColony’s place in the Opera Mediaworks family to our Instant-Play™ HD mobile video product and the differences between Chinese and Korean clients. You can find the full article here.

The Party

After all the work was done, our team co-hosted a Korean networking party with adjust. We shared delicious Thai food, cooled off with some beers, and enjoyed the company. We hosted more people than we were expecting, but it was great to spend quality time with some of our industry peers that we don’t usually get to see. Thanks for coming out, everyone!

The End

We enjoyed our time in Shanghai catching up with clients, and meeting new people. We had a great time at ChinaJoy this year, and can’t wait for next time. Hope to see you there!
