Members from both our EMEA and DACH teams made their way to Cologne, Germany last week for a few days of non-stop events and meetings. They started out at GDC Europe, and within a couple of days they were at Gamescom where they finished out the week.
Our AdColonists stayed busy during their time in Cologne. All together, they had over 40 meetings with existing and potential partners. Good thing we had a meeting room at our disposal all week!
The room provided a great space to have private meetings, away from the hustle and bustle of the main floor. It wasn’t just for business, though. Our clients were able to blow off some steam, and pick up some awesome swag while they were there.
Despite the packed meeting schedule, we were still able to check out the expo floor at Gamescom. We saw some fun booths, like Nintendo’s where seemingly half the attendees at the conference spent their time trying to “catch ’em all!”
Wargaming, one of our clients, took this opportunity to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first time a tank was used in battle (1916). They celebrated the “100 Years of Tanks” with plenty of tank replicas, and themed dance numbers throughout the conference. Very fun!
Since we had team members attending from around the globe, we organized a couple of team dinners so we could spend some quality time getting to know each other. It was a blast!
We were also told that we had to try the burgers at The Bird, an American steak and burger house. We couldn’t say no!
We’ve made many great memories in Cologne throughout the years, and this time it was no different. Friends, food, and fun. What more could we ask for?
Rest assured, we’ll we back soon, Cologne!
