Looking Back at ChinaJoy 2017

Posted Aug 8, 2017

Last week, AdColony’s APAC team joined partners and friends from the world over at the annual ChinaJoy International Digital Entertainment Expo. As one of the largest gaming exhibitions in the industry, ChinaJoy 2017 attracted professionals and gaming enthusiasts from over 30 countries around the world, not just the region.

It showcased online, mobile, and console games and connected brands, products, technologies, and capital all relating to the industry.

The 140,000 square meter (or 1.5 million square feet) space was divided into B2B and B2C areas, where businesses were able to connect with one another and guests were able to interact with their favorite companies. Live demonstrations, game previews, and amazing networking opportunities were only some of the many highlights of ChinaJoy.

For all three days, the official AdColony booth let us meet all who came by, and hold amazing conversations with like-minded developers, publishers, advertisers, professionals, and gamers.

At the end of day one, 1,000 AdColony guests had a blast at the Garden Party held at Sasha’s. This fluorescent music party was hosted by AdColony and Yeahmobi and packed some serious fun for all who attended.

After another busy day on the show floor, day two called for a private event for the Korean publishers and developers that attended ChinaJoy.

Hosted by our team from Seoul, South Korea, guests enjoyed a Taiwanese dinner, baijiu (Chinese whisky/wine), and lots of industry talk!

To top it off a great event, the AdColony team planned a surprise birthday party for one of our very own members, Adams, with his family flying in from Beijing to celebrate with us!

Next stop: Cologne, Germany for Gamescom 2017!
