Mobile Monday: CES 2018 Edition

In this edition of Mobile Monday, we’re covering the top stories from the CES 2018 held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Home to nearly 200,000 attendees, the stage for 4,000 exhibiting companies and the stage for over 1,200 speakers, CES is the world’s greatest gathering for consumer technologies, and mobile is no exception.

Tuesday Sessions
Here are the top sessions to check out on Tuesday, January 9th:

    • Understanding the Video Value Proposition — 9am Tuesday
      This session will explore how comprehensive video and commerce strategies are being developed to account for both internet TV and mobile. Speakers include leaders from CNN, Epix, Fandango, Neilsen, and PBS.
    • The Future of Brand Partnerships and Marketing Influencers — 10:15am Tuesday
      For those app install marketers who are beginning to use or consider influencer campaigns as part of their mix, this session will explore how brand marketing is evolving into influence marketing as well as how consumer relationships are becoming stronger as a result. Panelists include representatives from Univision, Warner Brothers, and more.
    • Mobile First: The Lifestyle Differentiator — 11:30am Tuesday
      This session will celebrate how mobile defines the consumer lifecycle, with panelists from Forbes, Magid, Some Spider Studios, theSkimm, Grey Adventures, and ICM Partners.
    • Future of TV: From Primetime to Multi-Platforms — 1pm Tuesday
      This session will explore how media, advertising, and technology companies must position themselves around “television 3.0”. Panelists include leaders from Sony Pictures Television, Altman Vilandrie & Company, Starz, Scripps Network Interactive, and Turner Broadcasting System.
    • Multi-Screen Strategies for Internet TV — 2:15pm Tuesday
      This session will explore how an “all-video culture” is permeating national business and intellectual conversations. Speakers will include leaders from Verizon Digital Media Services, IBM Watson Media, and others.

Wednesday Sessions
Here are the top sessions to check out on Wednesday, January 10th:

  • Mobile Innovation: How 5G will Enable the Future — 10am Wednesday
    This panel will discuss how the proliferation of 5G networks will enable breakthroughs in what’s possible on consumer mobile devices and other IoT applications. Speakers includde leaders from Qualcomm, Baidu, Verizon, and SDxCentral.
  • The Future of Video — 11:30am Wednesday
    Presented by MediaLink,  this panel will explore how streaming video is changing the entertainment industry landscape. Panelists include leaders from Discovery Communications, Comcast, A+E Networks, Medialink, Macro, YouTube, and Liontree.
  • Reimagining Television — 3pm Wednesday
    This session will explore how content companies can engage both advertisers and audiences in new and exciting ways in order to appeal to a more fractured world where audiences have more choices. Speakers will include CEOs from Turner and Hulu, and the session will be moderated by the Financial Times.
