During ChinaJoy in Shanghai, China, earlier this month, AdColony and Cocos brought together developers and mobile industry leaders from across China and beyond for a cocktail party at the top of Hotel Indigo on the Shanghai Bund.
The “Just the Right Time” party was filled with snacks, drinks, and discussion on how AdColony and Cocos are set to make monetizing apps easier than ever. There was even a balloon artist! Check out a selection of the photos from the event below!
During the event, Cocos Chairman Chen Haozhi spoke in front of mobile industry elites and explained why the partnership made perfect sense: “Cocos game tools have a global market share of nearly 30 percent, ranking second in the world,” Haozhi said, “AdColony is one of the world’s largest video advertising platforms and a top ten advertising platform,” he explained.
“We’re very excited to help Cocos developers in China and around the world monetize more easily,” Adams Ma, AdColony’s China country manager said. “We believe this partnership also offers opportunities for advertisers given Cocos’ continued growth in China, Asia, and worldwide.”
During the event, Cocos and AdColony delved into the details of the strategic cooperation, and the senior players in the game industry, as well as many friends in the mobile gaming field, were present for the official announcement of the exciting moment!
Cocos is a cross-platform, open source, free mobile game engine launched by Chukong Technology. It integrates frameworks and tools such as the game editor Cocos Creator and the popular global open source engine framework Cocos2d-x. It currently has 1.1 million registered developers worldwide and 300,000 monthly active developers in more than 200 countries and regions around the world. Games developed with Cocos’ tools account for 30% of the global market share of mobile games and 45% of China’s market share. Cocos is the world’s number one open source mobile game engine.
