What exactly does a Supply Business Development Manager do at AdColony? What’s an average day like for you?
I mainly work on lead generation, pitching new pubs, deal-making, and performance optimization for existing publishers.
Tell us a little about your experiences prior to joining AdColony & how they have prepared you for your role here.
I had worked in advertising sales at an e-commerce company and a retargeting DSP company before joining AdColony. My main responsibility in those companies was acquisition, and I felt that I could leverage that experience in business expansion into this newly-established branch in Japan.
What makes AdColony the right fit for you?
Before everything, it’s the awesome people and culture indeed. Also, the interactive and collaborative working environment we have in this company is a great advantage to grow business.
AdColony values employee development. How do you keep growing & learning in what you do?
As AdColony Japan is like a start-up business, this is going to be a great opportunity to challenge a lot of things from scratch and I’m hoping to gain better business development skills through my job here.
How do you act as a resource for the rest of your team?
Not only securing enough inventory for the demand side, I am willing to help the Japan team with anything I can as a handy guy.
Is there someone you turn to personally or professionally?
My dependable bosses, Ryo and Aaron professionally.
What are your hobbies or activities that you look forward to doing on the weekends or after work?
Drinking, soccer, golfing, gambling and dating.
Which app is keeping you engaged lately? Why?
Google Assistant: she’s very patient and listens to me even though I keep fooling around.
Tell us one or two fun facts about you.
I spent 30 mins on this question but could not come up with anything fun.
What is your favorite moment you’ve had with the AdColony team so far?
Doing a marathon with my team members (AdColony Japan running club)
What are you listening to lately? (music, podcasts, etc.)
Hip hop and dubstep lately but I listen to pretty much all kinds of music
What are you looking forward to most in the next 5 years?
