Meet Hazal Çetin, Head of Growth & Client Solutions, in Istanbul! As a part of the Sales Operations team, Hazal handles partnership growth opportunities at our Turkey office. When not working, she enjoys cooking for friends, doing yoga, and playing Pixel Shot 3D. Get to know Hazal in this week’s AdColonized feature!
What exactly does a Head of Growth & Client Solutions do at AdColony? What’s an average day like for you?
The Growth and Client Solutions team has several responsibilities for the EMEA and LATAM regions. We are in charge of business reviews for strategic partners, focusing on performance, opportunity based in-depth advertiser analysis, product roadmaps, and partnership growth opportunities. Even though it sounds very analytical and complicated the main point stands on human relations. We are the main contact of the sales teams in case of any problems and requests. Therefore, you can think of our team as a bridge between commercial teams and the operational teams. I really enjoy being in touch with people from different parts of the world. It is a great opportunity. An average day for us is full of calls with different teams (if we are not traveling), client meetings, and looking for new solutions to drive sales.
Tell us a little about your experiences prior to joining AdColony & how they have prepared you for your role here.
I studied Media and Visual Arts at Koç University İstanbul. After graduating from college, I started working at Vogue Magazine Turkey as a Digital Editor. With a curiosity for more than fashion, I changed jobs and moved to a Creative Agency in Istanbul, which also was publishing a local travel and lifestyle magazine. After spending a year there, I decided to be on the up-and-coming side of the media business.
What makes AdColony the right fit for you?
The company culture. Making great friends, learning from them, teaching others. Keeping the best work while caring about human relations. Also, the dynamic working environment helps us not get bored with new changes and challenges.
AdColony values employee development. How do you keep growing & learning in what you do?
My luck was being able to take part in different teams during my 3.5 years in AdColony. This way I learned the details about the product as well as how to market them. My position requires a lot of traveling and meetings. This also is a great way of keeping up the growth and development.
How do you act as a resource for the rest of your team?
I developed my knowledge and business skills with the help of my team and colleagues until now. Therefore, I also believe in sharing. I try to be available to all questions and needs of the team, providing them my point of view and work ethics.
What are your hobbies or activities that you look forward to doing on the weekends or after work?
Cooking for my friends, movies at home, and yoga.

Volkan is always here for us, as a professional mentor as well as someone to consult about anything.

What is your favorite moment you’ve had with the AdColony team so far?
I really enjoyed taking part in the organization of the very successful Intelligence Summit (and doing the same again this year). I also love winning awards from prestigious competitions!
