Posted Jun 3, 2020

Meet Johny Saad, Senior Regional Sales Manager of the Middle East and North Africa. Johny works from his home office in Dubai. He supports a number of markets and is busy opening up new ones! He loves to travel, especially to the beach. Get to know him better in this week’s AdColonized feature!

What exactly does a Senior Regional Sales Manager of the Middle East and North Africa do at AdColony? What’s an average day like for you?

As a Senior Regional Sales Manager I opened KSA, Egypt markets. Recently I’ve been working on opening the Morocco market and many new markets for AdColony. I also handle four major accounts in the UAE.

Tell us a little about your experiences prior to joining AdColony and how they have prepared you for your role here.

Prior to joining AdColony I worked for a year and a half for a mobile in-app network in Dubai and prior to that job I worked for eight and a half years for a leading media group in Dubai. Those jobs helped shape the caliber I am now and opened the market for me to help me build and grow my network of contacts locally in the UAE.

What makes AdColony the right fit for you?

At AdColony we are a big happy family and I find myself fitting perfectly within this family. There is no limit for my ambition at AdColony which motivates me to do my very best. I feel responsible for the business as if it is my own. We have an amazing culture and the work/life balance is amazing

AdColony values employee development. How do you keep growing and learning in what you do?

At AdColony we have great learning and experience from various regions we operate in, and these learnings are shared with all employees. I am starting a new online course at The University of Cambridge (High Impact Leadership), and I will be enrolling later in Q4 for a new online digital course at Harvard as well.

How do you act as a resource for the rest of your team?

I try to share my positive energy and attitude with the rest of the team. I put all my knowledge, contacts, and resources into the disposal of my colleagues, and I share any update that I learn with them. I motivate them and always assure them that we as a team can do miracles together.

Is there someone you turn to personally or professionally?

I believe in energy, and I always surround myself with people who have a positive energy and attitude in my personal and professional life.

What are your hobbies or activities that you look forward to doing on the weekends or after work?

I enjoy cycling with my family, road trips, and exploring new places. I love going to the beach. I always look forward to hanging out with my friends for drinks.

Which app is keeping you engaged lately? Why?

I am constantly active on Linkedin looking for new articles that are of interest to me and beneficial for business.

Tell us one or two fun facts about you.

I am horrible with names. I still watch Tom & Jerry from time to time.

What is your favorite moment you’ve had with the AdColony team so far?

Our first AdColony Intelligence Summit when the whole EMEA & LATAM team got together for the first time. The last MMA MENA Awards when we won more than 3 awards for 2 of my clients was also a great moment.

What are you listening to lately (music, podcasts, etc.)?

Music with my son.

What are you looking forward to most in the next 5 years?

I am looking forward to opening more and more markets for AdColony!
