For many years, Russia has been one of the most lucrative gaming markets for developers and publishers. While Russia has been one of the largest game markets in Europe, the country is still considered an emerging market in terms of mobile games. The past few years have seen significant growth in both the number of users and revenue.
According to Statista, the number of mobile gamers in Russia is expected to steadily increase and eventually amount to 33.5 million by 2024. Yandex.Checkout, a payment service provider, claims that the mobile segment is the fastest-growing of Russia’s total gaming market. Statista expects revenue to reach $813 million in 2020, making it the 7th highest-earning country.
