Partner Spotlight: BidShake

Posted Apr 29, 2021

A little over a year ago, BidShake was founded as a way to make mobile marketing, user acquisition, and campaign management simple and effective. Since then, they have worked to provide mobile apps and games data, reporting, campaign, and creative management, bidding automation, and more, all from one platform. They have grown immensely over the past year, achieved amazing results for their clients, and are looking forward to future growth and development.

We caught up with our friends at BidShake to learn more about what they offer, their outlook on the future of the mobile industry, and their growth over the past year. Get to know them better!

Why did BidShake enter the mobile space in the first place?

BidShake was founded by a team of mobile marketing veterans, experienced in building technological solutions to answer complex marketing needs. The platform was built in collaboration with Voodoo, the world’s biggest hyper-casual publisher, as a design partner and the first customer. Voodoo had a pressing need, and BidShake’s founding team had the experience and know-how to address it — and just like that, a revolutionary product was born.

What services does BidShake provide to mobile advertisers?

Today, BidShake is the leading cross-channel marketing automation platform for mobile apps and games. BidShake offers data aggregation, reporting & analysis, campaign management, bidding automation, and creative management & reporting. And with the campaign creation, targeting setting, and monetization tools coming soon, BidShake is a one-stop solution for all mobile marketing needs.

How has BidShake grown alongside mobile?

BidShake was officially launched in January 2020. Our team had the chance to proudly wear our BidShaker T-shirts to exactly three conferences before a global shut down.

This past year was probably the biggest year for mobile, and against all odds (try building a team and a product during lockdown), BidShake grew massively. Within one year, our headcount tripled, we successfully onboarded the biggest app and game companies, developed many new features, and brought significant value to our clients who experienced massive growth and dealt with new challenges themselves.

Services Offered

How does BidShake’s services make life easier for mobile advertisers?

Making mobile advertisers’ lives easier is at the core of what BidShake is all about. In our recent case studies, our clients reported amazing results such as a consistent increase in ROAS across the board, as well as time saved on manual tasks, which allowed them to manage more campaigns, expand to more geos, activate more ad channels, and even launch more apps.

Why is it important for publishers and/or advertisers to utilize services like BidShake?

We believe that with the rising competition in today’s world, to be successful, you need to be able to make data-driven decisions at scale. This ability relies on three main pillars: Data, Intelligence, and Automation. BidShake is bringing all three together, allowing teams to leverage their strengths and win over the competition.

What is the number one example of your tools/services enabling advertiser success?

It’s hard to pick just one, especially since we’re super excited about every success and milestone our clients share with us. A great example could be how CrazyLabs’ ROAS rose up to 43% across multiple apps within just a few months. CrazyLabs is very advanced in its UA strategy, and contributing to its success is a tremendous honor.

The Industry

Where do you see mobile heading in the short term (2-3 years) and long term (5 years and longer)?

In the short term, mobile will need to handle more privacy regulations and adapt to a safer, more user-centric reality. Traditional brands and services will aim to become mobile-first, focusing on financial services, medical services, insurance, and education. Current mobile-first players will see more consolidation and growth around the top verticals, like gaming and fintech.

In the long term, mobile devices and services will hold each person’s identity and be used to receive personalized services on demand, from healthcare to payments, education, government services, and more. E-commerce platforms will be more user-centric, although personal data will be more challenging to collect and store. AI and ML will analyze user behavior from a very young age and will be able to predict user value and preferences at an earlier stage. Online currencies and goods will see innovation around social engagement and blockchain currencies. Developing countries will go through revolutions with global connectivity and trading.

How do you see the shift from traditional forms of entertainment and utility (TV and desktop usage) to a more mobile-focused world impacting companies that use your services?

Today, our top clients’ verticals include mobile gaming, utilities, and health & fitness apps – all of which saw an increase in demand in the past year, partly or mainly due to the pandemic and lockdowns. We believe that many of the newly acquired habits are here to stay and will impact all industries, making mobile the go-to monetization platform for everyone. This means that competition will rise, and brands will have to adapt to it to stay ahead.

What industry trend or development are you most excited about in the near-term, and why?

We’ve been seeing more and more female-oriented games entering the market. Titles like High Heels and Girl Genius are topping the charts, and we’re excited about the possibility of the male-dominated gaming industry becoming more diverse and inclusive as a result.

Company Culture

How big is your team, and how would you describe them?

Right now, there are 20 BidShakers out there, and we’re planning to keep on growing fast! This is an exceptional and exciting phase for us, being a super dynamic startup that operates at a big-company scale. One of the things that makes our team unique is how client-centric we are – and not only on the business side – we have engineers joining onboarding meetings, product managers answering clients’ questions. Everyone is engaged with the company mission. Plus, we’re a multicultural, multilingual team, so we’ve got to be cool. 😎
