What exactly does a Sales Manager do at AdColony? What’s an average day like for you?
As a Digital Sales Manager for the MENA region, I work closely with media agencies and direct clients to deliver them primetime mobile video and rich media advertising solutions within the gaming ecosystem. I also liaise on a daily basis with a range of internal stakeholders such as creative, composers, account management, and strategy to ensure proper execution and alignment with customer objectives.
Tell us a little about your experiences prior to joining AdColony and how they have prepared you for your role here.
I have a diversified background within marketing and sales. As a marketing graduate, I started my career in a multinational company within the marketing department, which was where I spent my early years. Moving on, I entered into the digital world with a different role, which was sales. The mix between marketing and sales has been allowing me to excel at my role.
What makes AdColony the right fit for you?
AdColony’s work environment allows me to express myself on both career and personal levels. The challenging yet rewarding workplace falls within my career goals in terms of growth, stability, and achievement.
AdColony values employee development. How do you keep growing and learning in what you do?
Interacting with people within my network from both the agency and client sides helps me grow by learning new market trends, success stories, and more. Above all, I am always following up on new digital insights and updates within the industry.
How do you act as a resource for the rest of your team?
I seek to share knowledge and experiences across different teams, not just the sales team. This does not only add value to the teams, but also widens my horizons on how to tackle different challenges.
Is there someone you turn to personally or professionally?
AdColony is rich in talented employees who thrive to grow the business and their coworkers and teams. This allows me to turn professionally to almost everyone as each and every individual adds value to the business and to my own growth.
Many global AdColony employees are still working from home. Do you have any work-from-home tips for success you can share?
Never fall into the same routine by working from home. Challenge yourself to do different things every week to break the monotony. Dress up in the morning, have your own workspace, disconnect from work for a full hour lunch break, and push yourself to work within a specific timeframe to avoid burnout.
What are your hobbies or activities that you look forward to doing on the weekends or after work?
I equally value spending time with my friends as much as I value spending time alone. I usually spend my after work time at the gym, having dinner and drinks with friends, or simply watching my favorite TV show on a night in. Weekends are always busy as they mostly involve lots of sun and cocktails.
Which app is keeping you engaged lately? Why?
Instagram is my go-to app nowadays as it not only keeps me connected with my friends from across the world, but also provides me with relative content on different interests, such as news, fitness, and cooking.
Tell us one or two fun facts about you.
My car turns into a disco every time I drive!
What is your favorite moment you’ve had with the AdColony team so far?
Attending the AdColony Intelligence Summit in 2019 when I first joined AdColony has been one of the most remarkable experiences within my two years so far. I had the chance to meet the teams from different markets on a personal level, which was memorable.
What are you looking forward to most in the next 5 years?
Having a work-life balance where I can grow within my role as well as build my own family and be a great wife and mom.
