When looking for entertainment or a way to pass the time, consumers consistently look to their mobile devices as they are readily available and capable of providing endless forms of fun. Within those devices, engagement with games on mobile has risen drastically over the past year, and this new love of gaming is not going anywhere. But as brands and advertisers work to reach consumers through mobile games, they must tailor their strategies to reach different consumers all around the world. And as consumer characteristics vary, it is important to understand the unique qualities that make up users in different regions. AdColony surveyed mobile gamers around the world to better understand their digital behavior, and this week we’re learning about mobile gamers in Egypt!
Gaming on mobile has beat out many other devices and activities in terms of providing fun, entertainment, and more. When looking at Egyptian consumers, mobile is the preferred device for gaming as 73% of people are playing games on a smartphone, which is higher than the 51% that regularly play on a PC or laptop and the 29% that play on a smart TV, according to Statista.com. If brands are looking to reach consumers in a relaxed, open state, they should look no further than mobile games.
