AdColony Announces Official Integration with Cocos Game Development Tools

Set to make AdColony monetization tools a single-click install for developers using Cocos’ game development tools

BEIJING — AUGUST 13, 2018 — AdColony is pleased to announce its position as the default mobile video advertising platform partnered with Cocos, creators of such tools as SDKBOX and Cocos2-dx. AdColony’s SDK is now fully integrated into the Cocos game development engine, requiring no additional integration work for developers utilizing Cocos’ many game tools.

Cocos provides a one-stop service for games, equipping developers with a complete set of game development solutions with a market share of more than 50%. The partnership between AdColony and Cocos was originally conceived to give Chinese developers the best possible experience when designing apps, but this collaboration will provide benefits worldwide.

“We’re very excited to help Cocos developers in China and around the world monetize more easily,” Adams Ma, AdColony’s China country manager said. “We believe this partnership also offers opportunities for advertisers given Cocos’ continued growth in China, Asia, and worldwide.”

In addition to being the largest game development toolset in China and one of the largest throughout Asia, apps developed with Cocos are popular around the world. Excluding Chinese users, Cocos’ SDKBOX has 106 million active users per month and a total of 680 million users engaged with Cocos-powered apps.

Training Opportunities
In order to allow developers to benefit from this in-depth cooperation, AdColony will work with Cocos in the second half of 2018 to provide both offline and online activities such as training, technical tutoring, and market information sharing for domestic and overseas developers that will provide real, tangible benefits for all.

To celebrate the partnership, AdColony and Cocos invited developers at this year’s ChinaJoy Digital Entertainment Expo & Conference to the top of the Hotel Indigo on the Bund before the show to explain first-hand the benefits to some of the largest developers in China.

During the event, Cocos Chairman Chen Haozhi spoke in front of mobile industry elites and explained why the partnership made perfect sense: “Cocos game tools have a global market share of nearly 30 percent, ranking second in the world,” Haozhi said, “AdColony is one of the world’s largest video advertising platforms and a top ten advertising platform,” he explained.

This Cocos and AdColony cooperation extends globally but will be most visible in China. The two parties will utilize user data and strategize with one another to enhance the mobile experience, assist developers in acquiring users, and increase opportunities for advertisers around the world.
