Just this morning, Apple announced its latest devices, live from the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Howard Gilman Opera House. The lineup included a few new gadgets, but the most impressive was the new iPad Pro, which is offered in both an 11-inch and 12.9 inch display. This iPad comes with a lot of updated technology, which will enable a ton of opportunities in-app.
Ranging from 64GB to 1TB, Wifi only or Wifi + Cellular, Silver or Space Gray – the new iPad Pro has a ton of options to choose from. Not to mention, it weighs just over a pound, has Gigabit-class LTE, and 10 hours of battery life. Now that’s productivity on the go.
A Bigger, Better Screen
Introducing the new all-screen design, where users can hold and use their device any way they want. The Liquid Retina display, which covers the device from “edge to edge,” only makes the experience even better, with vibrant colors and ProMotion technology that responds to your taps and swipes more effectively than ever. Secure facial authentication through Face ID is now available on the new generation iPad Pro.
So what does all of this mean for developers and advertisers? Developers will have to adjust to account for the larger screen but that only means more room to engage their audiences. Same goes for advertisers looking to capture attention.
The previous Lightning port has also been switched out for USB-C, which doesn’t just mean faster charging. The new port opens up external device connecting opportunities, so you can seamlessly and productively manage your information and documents.
Outsmarting the Competition
The A12X Bionic chip is here, making this generation of iPads more powerful than many dedicated notebooks. Powered by a Neural Engine, which runs five trillion operations per second, this iPad Pro allows users to multitask at lightning speed. FaceTiming a friend and need to look something up online? Working on a project and want to message a friend? This fast chip makes doing actions simultaneously a breeze.
What’s even more exciting? Two times faster graphics means an even better AR and gaming experience. With more users turning to games during their free time, advertisers can gain more reach and publishers can monetize like never before.
Selfies for Days
Ready, set, selfie. The new iPad Pro has two cameras equipped with Smart HDR technology. That means 12MP photos, 4K videos, improved document scanning, and realistic AR experiences. The front-facing camera comes with TrueDepth technology to up your selfie game, and let’s not forget about Animoji and Memoji.
Took a beautiful picture on an SLR? No problem. The USB-C port gives you high-performance connection to external devices and displays so you can edit and work on projects all from one place.
