Meet Shavon Tay, Technical Solutions Manager in Singapore! As a part of the Technical Solutions team, Shavon works to improve workflow and optimize campaigns’ performance. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her dogs, playing Clash Royale, and renovating her house. Get to know Shavon in this week’s AdColonized feature!
What exactly does a Technical Solutions Manager do at AdColony? What’s an average day like for you?
Every day is different for the Technical Solutions team, which makes our job interesting. We troubleshoot issues, improve workflow, and optimise campaigns’ performance. We work with various teams: Client Services, Operations, Business Intelligence, Publishing, and Product teams to deliver success.
Tell us a little about your experiences prior to joining AdColony & how they have prepared you for your role here.
Prior to AdColony, I had always been in the media industry with experience in media planning, trading, and operations. With an understanding of the digital media ecosystem, it was easier to transition into the mobile ecosystem. I would say mobile is definitely more challenging than desktop!
What makes AdColony the right fit for you?
I appreciate the values. It is a collaborative team that dreams crazy and strives to deliver the “wow” factor.
AdColony values employee development. How do you keep growing & learning in what you do?
There is a great knowledge base at AdColony. There are many ongoing new features and tests that the team is working on. A lot can be learned from observing and experimenting. Our managers are constantly encouraging us to push boundaries.
How do you act as a resource for the rest of your team?
The industry is constantly evolving. I try to stay informed and maintain an adaptive attitude towards new changes.
Is there someone you turn to personally or professionally?
I value the working relationship with the APAC Client Services team – Judith, Dimas, Giselle, and Alyaa. They are all knowledgeable and always happy to share information. Also, my teammate, Syazni is someone I turn to as we work together to solve issues. And big thanks to our manager Asim, who always has a solution for everything.
What are your hobbies or activities that you look forward to doing on the weekends or after work?
Chilling and spending time with my two dogs is something I look forward to every day. On weekends, I prefer indoor activities like games and hot pot nights and occasional cycling at Coney Island (a cozy little island) if the weather is not too hot.
Which app is keeping you engaged lately? Why?
Clash Royale for the past three years! There are always new challenges and features.

I used to play the piano, guzheng, and ukulele.
What is your favorite moment you’ve had with the AdColony team so far?
Daily foosball matches — it’s a fun way to relax during work. It gets really competitive in the Singapore office and scores are even tracked!

What are you looking forward to most in the next 5 years?
Preparing and renovating my new house!
