What exactly does a Strategic Marketing Director at LinkedIn Marketing Solutions by AdColony do at AdColony? What’s an average day like for you?
I am focused on helping Danish clients understand and grow their business with LinkedIn Marketing Solutions. An average day starts with checking up on my client’s activities, generating data and insights for my meetings, and typically I have approximately two client meetings a day. At the time, most of my meetings were VC’s due to COVID-19. I am spending most of my time with my clients understanding their business, marketing plans, and objectives.
Tell us a little about your experiences prior to joining AdColony and how they have prepared you for your role here.
I started at Opera Media Works, now rebranded to AdColony in 2016, and I have been working with LinkedIn Marketing from the beginning. I have been a main figure educating the Danish market, both clients and media agencies, about LinkedIn Marketing Solutions. I learned the importance of strategic marketing, consulting, and understanding the different needs and cultures of companies.
What makes AdColony the right fit for you?
It is an exciting company that operates in many different countries and represents many interesting digital companies and technologies.
AdColony values employee development. How do you keep growing and learning in what you do?
AdColony offers various initiatives for employees to keep growing. One of them is our yearly Intelligence Summit Conference and our internal training events.
How do you act as a resource for the rest of your team?
I am responsible for our biggest clients and am focusing on how I can help clients to grow their business. I love to spend time understanding the issues our clients are facing and I am spending a lot of time analyzing performance and behavior data, which helps my teammates as well.
Is there someone you turn to personally or professionally?
My teammates Mikala Krüger, Peter Sonberg, Kirstine Hviid, and Nima Pour
Many global AdColony employees are still working from home. Do you have any work-from-home tips for success you can share?
Working from home obviously gives you more flexibility. The most important thing is to keep doing what you were doing before. So consistency, self-motivation, and time management skills are key for success.
What are your hobbies or activities that you look forward to doing on the weekends or after work?
I am spending time with my family and friends. I am trying to help my 9-month-old daughter understand the whole world 🙂 I love to go to the gym and I love to go for a long run in the evening. Copenhagen is such a nice city to run through in the evening, with the ocean and the lights. And going out for dinner – eating food from around the world.
Which app is keeping you engaged lately? Why?
LinkedIn – of course, Instagram, and Exercises for Baby.
Tell us one or two fun facts about you.
I like to clean and I’m always running around with a pacifier in my pocket.
What is your favorite moment you’ve had with the AdColony team so far?
I won Partner of The Year in 2017 at LinkedIn Partner Connect. The gift was a trip to Silicon Valley and we had such a great trip.
What are you listening to lately (music, podcasts, etc.)?
Jack Johnson – Banana Pancakes and several kids songs.
What are you looking forward to most in the next 5 years?
Watching my daughter walk, and eventually learn to talk. I am hoping for a pandemic-free world with no travel restrictions. I would love to travel with my family in the future.
