Our EMEA team recently treated some of our top publishers in Berlin to a cruise along Spree River. Read on for the team’s log recounting their adventures at high seas.
Last week, a few lucky AdColonists from the London office, and their favorite German clients found themselves cruising the calm waters of the River Spree armed with nothing but goody-bags filled with fake mustaches and rum. The Spree, which flows directly through Berlin’s city center, passes the capital’s most prominent sights, and is the best way to take in the beautiful city of Berlin.
After commandeering our vessel with our good friends from Goodgames, Lovoo, Wooga, Tune, Remerge, European Games and Bonial, we were set to take on the world.
We set sail from Paula-Thiede-Ufer, passing by the Reichstag building with a sense of camaraderie and revolution.
With a stage set like this, it didn’t take long for the first attempted mutiny. Thomas Bienias, our Head of Sales in EMEA, started an impromptu dance party in hopes of providing ample distraction while the others tried to commandeer the ship.
Regardless of the brief uprising, we stuck together. We were the finest looking crew on the sea, but would have been vulnerable had we disbanded.
We danced and laughed our way through the city, imbibing the contents of our goody-bags, and plundering the shores of the Spree. Not bad for our maiden voyage. Until we meet again, River Spree!
